The Lagos State Government will from Tuesday, 19 August, commence the second phase of rehabilitation works on the Ogudu–Ifako Bridge in Kosofe. The project, which focuses on restoring the bridge’s expansion joints inbound Lagos Island, is scheduled to run until 1 October.
Traffic will be diverted at the construction zone, with vehicles channelled into a single lane before reconnecting 50 metres beyond the bridge. Motorists heading to Oshodi and Victoria Island are advised to use alternative routes through Ojota, Anthony, Gbagada, and Funsho Williams Avenue.

The General Manager of LASTMA, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, assured that traffic officers and towing trucks are deployed to maintain order and respond swiftly to incidents. He appealed for patience, urging strict compliance with traffic advisories to minimise disruption.
