The Main Organising Committee of the 2024 National Sports Festival says Ogun State is ready to host the festival.
The 22nd edition of the National Sports Festival which was earlier fixed for November in Ogun State, was postponed to January 2025.
Speaking after inspecting some of the facilities that will host the event, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Sports Development, Mrs. Tinuke Watti, said the ministry was impressed with the progress so far.
The Facilities inspected were Babcock University, Remo Stars sports complex in Ikenne, which is projected to host football and Basketball events, the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu which will host Rugby, and the Golf Course at the Abeokuta Golf Club.

Other venues are the Abeokuta Sports Club, MKO Abiola stadium which will host the opening and closing ceremony, as well as swimming and athletics events, and the Alake Sports Centre in Ijeja for the table tennis event.
