Ogun state NMA Chapter insists on indefinite strike unless their demands are met

For three days now, doctors working in State owned health institutions in Ogun State under the aegis of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) Ogun state chapter embarked on an indefinite strike

Citing the inability of the State government to implement the upward review of the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS)  that their counterparts working in Federal institutions already enjoy the State Chairman of NMA, Dr. Kunle Ashmi,  provides more details on why they chose to strike.

Ashmi asserted that unless the State government signs a memorandum with them on when the reviewed CONMESS will be paid they would not call off the strike.
