Ondo Governor Declares Three Days of Mourning for Late SSG

The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has announced a three-day period of mourning and prayers, from Sunday, 5th January to Tuesday, 7th January, in honour of the late Secretary to the State Government, Mr Temitayo Oluwatuyi. 

Mr Oluwatuyi passed away on Saturday at a hospital in Akure, where he had been receiving treatment for injuries sustained in a road accident in December 2024.

Governor Aiyedatiwa made the announcement during a condolence visit to Mr Oluwatuyi’s family at their residence in Akure on Sunday. Accompanied by members of the State Executive Council, the governor offered words of comfort to the late SSG’s widow and relatives.

Paying tribute to Mr Oluwatuyi, the governor described him as a man of impeccable character who lived a life marked by humility and grace, and one who carried out his duties with decorum and contributed immensely to the progress of Ondo State. According to the governor, the history of the state would be incomplete without acknowledging Mr Oluwatuyi’s impact.
