A 70-year-old man has been killed, and three others wounded in a stabbing attack at a bus station in the northern Israeli city of Haifa. According to Israeli police, the attack occurred on Monday, and security guards shot and killed the suspected assailant.
The victims include a man and a woman, both around 30 years old, and a 15-year-old boy, all of whom sustained serious injuries. The head of Israel’s emergency rescue service, Eli Bin, confirmed that one of the wounded later succumbed to his injuries.

Police identified the attacker as an Israeli citizen from a nearby Arab Druze town who had recently returned from abroad. While authorities continue their investigation, Israeli police have labelled the incident a “terrorist attack” in connection to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The attack comes amid stalled ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas. On Sunday, Israel blocked humanitarian aid to Gaza following a dispute with Hamas over extending the ceasefire agreement.
