Super Eagles and Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen says his relentless energy on the pitch comes from the love and passion shown by Galatasaray fans since his arrival in Istanbul. The Nigerian striker joined the Turkish champions on loan from Napoli after a protracted transfer saga, scoring 37 goals and leading the club to a domestic double.
Galatasaray later made the move permanent, paying a record €75 million for the 2023 CAF Player of the Year on a four-year deal. Osimhen, now adored at RAMS Park, says he is determined to repay that faith on Europe’s biggest stage.

Ahead of their Champions League clash with Ajax in Amsterdam, the former Lille star—who holds Galatasaray’s record for consecutive European goals—says he wants to “make history with this great club.”
