Super Eagles and 2023 African footballer of the year, Victor Osimhen, has been left out of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) best eleven of the just concluded tournament.
William Troost-Ekong, who was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), was included in the lineup, with Ola Aina slotted in right-back, and Ademola Lookman as the only Nigerian attacker.

Hosts and winning country, Côte d’Ivoire, had three players named in the team, and South Africa’s goalkeeper, Ronwen Williams, who was awarded the Golden Gloves, was named as goalkeeper.
Côte d’Ivoire’s coach, Emerse Fae, was voted to coach the team.
