Nigeria’s head coach, Eric Chelle, has named a 23-man squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Iran and Jordan. Notable absentees include striker Victor Osimhen and goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.
No reason was given for Osimhen’s omission despite his recent form for Galatasaray, while Nwabali is currently without a club after leaving Chippa United. Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye returns to the squad, alongside striker Paul Onuachu.
Several regular players have been retained, including captain Wilfred Ndidi, defender Calvin Bassey, and forward Ademola Lookman. New call-ups include Philip Otele, Collins Yira Sor, and Emmanuel Fernandez.

Nigeria will play Iran on March 27 and Jordan on March 31 in a four-nation tournament in Antalya, with Costa Rica also taking part.
