Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has revealed he was pressured into joining Napoli in 2020 despite his reluctance, describing the period as one of the most difficult moments of his career. Speaking to Italian prosecutors, Osimhen said his former agent and Lille officials pushed for the deal while he was coping with his father’s failing health.
The €75 million transfer made him Africa’s second most expensive footballer and remains under financial investigation in Italy over alleged inflated valuations and secret payments, which Napoli deny.
