Victor Osimhen delivered a decisive performance as Galatasaray secured a 2-1 victory over Rizespor in the Turkish Super Lig on Monday.
The Nigerian striker opened the scoring two minutes after the interval, rising to meet Przemysław Frankowski’s pinpoint cross with a clinical header into the far corner.
Rizespor, undeterred, responded swiftly and found an equaliser in the 54th minute. Ali Sowe pounced on a defensive lapse to slot the ball past Fernando Muslera, briefly shifting the momentum in the visitors’ favour.

However, Osimhen proved the difference once again. With four minutes remaining, he connected powerfully with a corner, his header striking the inside of the post before nestling in the net—securing a crucial victory for Galatasaray.
The 25-year-old’s tally now stands at 19 goals in 24 appearances.
