Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has travelled to the United States to attend the wedding of his nephew and internationally acclaimed music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.
Davido is set to hold his white wedding with Chioma Avril Rowland in Miami, Florida, this August. The event follows an earlier announcement by the artist during a media appearance in April.

The governor’s absence sparked queries from the opposition All Progressives Congress, prompting a response from his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed. He confirmed the trip was a private family engagement, noting Adeleke left aboard the family’s private jet.
Mr. Rasheed stressed the governor has not taken official leave since assuming office in November 2022 and is maintaining regular contact with his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, who is overseeing state affairs during the brief visit.
