The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, FUNAAB, has announced that over 3,000 of its students have benefited from the National Education Loan Fund, NELFUND.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abeokuta on Wednesday to mark the institution’s 32nd Convocation Ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olushola Babatunde Kehinde, revealed that NELFUND had disbursed an initial payment of ₦133.995 million to 1,300 students for the 2024 academic session. He further stated that the university is expecting a second tranche of funds to cover an additional 1,638 students, bringing the total beneficiaries to 3,000.

Highlighting academic achievements, Professor Kehinde disclosed that 120 out of 3,567 graduating students will be conferred with First Class honours during the convocation event scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2025.
