At least 404 Palestinians have been killed and over 560 others injured following Israeli airstrikes across Gaza, shattering a two-month-old ceasefire with Hamas. The attacks targeted areas in Khan Younis, Rafah, Gaza City, and Deir el-Balah, with Gaza’s Ministry of Health confirming that many of those killed were children.
Hamas condemned the strikes as a unilateral breach of the ceasefire, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the military acted in response to Hamas’ refusal to release captives or extend the ceasefire. Netanyahu warned that Israel would intensify its military campaign against Hamas.

The Israeli military described the strikes as targeting “terror sites” linked to Hamas. Meanwhile, the White House said Israel consulted with President Donald Trump before launching the assault.
Eyewitnesses reported heavy bombing in densely populated areas, including schools and shelters. Al Jazeera’s Tareq Abu Azzoum described widespread destruction in Deir el-Balah, where residents had sought refuge.
