Over 4,000 Expected at Greater Lagos Summit to Deepen Inclusive Governance

At least 4,000 residents are expected to participate in this year’s Greater Lagos Summit as organisers seek to embed collaborative governance in the state’s development journey.

Mr. Adeniyi Olutimehin, President of the Greater Lagos Initiative and Convener of the summit, told journalists in Ikeja that the event—now in its fifth edition—aims to build a Lagos not only marked by physical infrastructure but founded on justice, equity, and people-led prosperity.

Scheduled for October, the summit will attract a broad spectrum of society, including traditional rulers, civil society groups, students, entrepreneurs, academics, and the informal sector.

Themed ‘People, Power, and Progress,’ the summit is expected to spark practical dialogue, recognise civic contributions, and unveil initiatives such as a creativity hub and youth empowerment programmes.

Mr. Olutimehin described the event as a strategic movement to inspire innovation, patriotism, and citizen-driven development.
