Nigerian forward Nicholas Oyekunle continued his remarkable scoring form with a brace in Southampton’s 4-2 victory over West Ham United in the U18 Premier League South on Tuesday.
The match, held at the Staplewood Training Ground, saw Oyekunle extend his season tally to 25 goals in 21 appearances, consolidating his position as the league’s top scorer.

The 17-year-old has now scored 36 times in 53 career games at this level—just one shy of the all-time U18 Premier League record of 37, set by fellow Nigerian-Chido Obi.
Southampton currently lead the provisional table with 39 points from 22 matches.
Oyekunle is among five finalists for the Male Rising Star category at the Nigeria UK Sports Award, alongside Oluwajomiloju Aminu, Charles Agbawodikeizu, Chido Obi and Jade Cole.
