The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has called on President Bola Tinubu to caution Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, over his remarks against the group.
PANDEF leaders criticised Wike’s comments describing the forum as “the worst organisation anybody can rely on,” saying such statements were inflammatory and undermined peace efforts in Rivers State.

Speaking at a press conference, former Akwa Ibom governor Victor Attah, who chairs PANDEF’s reconciliation committee, said Wike’s refusal to engage with the group had stalled attempts to resolve the political crisis involving Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the state assembly.
PANDEF’s national chairman, Godknows Igali, urged the president to intervene, calling on Wike to retract his remarks and respect the forum’s leaders and traditional rulers.
