Still with the international airport in Abuja, a commercial airline aircraft crash-landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, after a tyre reportedly burst into flames.
It was gathered that the aircraft had arrived from Yola, Adamawa State when the incident occurred.
A former President of the Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, Dr. Mike Ogirima, who gave an account of the incident said the tyre burst occurred after takeoff at Yola Airport.

The Aerodrome Rescue and Fire-fighting Service at the airport was swiftly mobilised to douse the flames.
The passengers were safely disembarked, while the runway was temporarily shut until the aircraft was fully evacuated.
