Nigerian international Peter Olayinka has parted ways with Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade, just 11 matches into the 2025–26 season. The 29-year-old forward, who joined from Slavia Prague in 2023, reportedly requested to leave in search of a new challenge after struggling for regular game time.
Despite scoring 14 goals during his stay, Olayinka’s spell in Belgrade failed to match expectations as he slipped down the pecking order. Red Star confirmed his departure on Wednesday through an official club statement.

A tireless winger with experience across Europe—including stints in Belgium, Cyprus, Albania, and the Czech Republic—Olayinka now becomes a free agent. Having impressed during his four years at Slavia Prague, he is expected to attract fresh interest as he looks to revive his career beyond Serbia.
