The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has appealed to U.S. President Donald Trump to collaborate with President Bola Tinubu on ending insecurity rather than threatening military action against Nigeria. PFN President, Bishop Wale Oke, made the appeal in an interview monitored by Radio Now’s Newsdesk, stressing that Nigerians want peace, not foreign intervention.
Oke urged both leaders to work together to stop attacks on Christians and other citizens, saying every Nigerian life is precious. His comments follow Trump’s post on his Truth Social platform where he accused Nigerian authorities of allowing mass killings of Christians and directed the U.S. Department of War to “prepare for possible action” in Nigeria.
The Federal Government has dismissed Trump’s claims of genocide as false and divisive. Information Minister Mohammed Idris said Nigeria’s security challenges are not religiously motivated and that the government continues to make progress in restoring peace across the country.

The PFN, while condemning all forms of violence, called on the Nigerian government to ensure safety for all citizens regardless of faith. It urged an end to targeted attacks and reaffirmed the church’s commitment to unity, peace, and religious freedom nationwide.
