Reality television star Phyna has accused Dangote Group of negligence and insensitivity in the handling of her sister Ruth Otabor’s death and burial. In a series of social media posts, she alleged that the company failed to meet its public pledge to cover all medical and burial expenses.
According to Phyna, while hospital charges in Lagos were settled, the family was left to bear additional costs incurred in Auchi and Irrua. She further claimed that efforts to reach Dangote Group on the day of the burial were ignored, leaving outstanding bills unresolved.

The former Big Brother Naija winner also criticised the company for sending her father a letter demanding his signature on an acknowledgement of expenses, which she described as impersonation. Phyna suggested the move was an attempt to manage public perception rather than treat her family with fairness.
