The Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta, PIND, has signed a ₦1.2 billion agreement with Okomu Oil Palm Company Plc to promote peace, prosperity, and sustainable development across the firm’s host communities in Edo State. The deal builds on a three-year collaboration launched in 2024 and expands into new areas under a 2026 project plan.
The initiative aims to strengthen community dialogue, train peace monitors, and support small businesses through access to finance and renewable energy projects. About 3,000 smallholder farmers are expected to benefit from improved agricultural practices and better market linkages.
