Association president Sunday Abe said ignorance of the rules would not be tolerated, adding that players must take responsibility for upholding professionalism. He confirmed that a sensitisation campaign would be rolled out across all domestic leagues, including workshops, seminars, simplified rulebooks and a hotline for reporting unethical conduct.
The initiative aims to protect the credibility of Nigerian football and reinforce international confidence in the league system. Abe also praised NPFL chief Davidson Owumi for his firm stance on transparency and discipline, stressing that both organisations share a commitment to safeguarding the game’s integrity.
