The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has confirmed the arrest and remand of Samuel Ojeogwu, the brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels. Ojeogwu, also known as Sammy West, was arrested in Lagos last week and taken to Abuja after reportedly ignoring several police invitations.
Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh said in a statement that the arrest was carried out lawfully following a petition accusing Ojeogwu and three others of criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, theft, and cyberbullying. She noted that an arrest warrant was obtained from a competent court before his detention.
Adeh added that investigations into the case had been concluded and that Ojeogwu was charged in court on November 6, 2025. He has been remanded in custody pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions.

The arrest comes amid reports of a crisis between Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, who has not publicly commented on the case. The police reiterated their commitment to professionalism, due process, and the rule of law.
