Police Service Commission Compulsorily Retires DIGS Dan-Mallam, Jitiboh, Hafiz, And Others

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has asked Deputy Inspectors General of Police Moses Jitiboh, Dan-Mallam, Adeyinka Adeleke, and Hafiz Inuwa to leave the service.

The compulsory retirement may not be unconnected with the fact that the four DIG’s were senior to the incumbent to the present IGP. Although three of the retired DIG’s were coursemates to Egbetokun, they were however promoted before him.

The present IGP salutes the retired officers before he was appointed IGP and now receiving salute from them.

The Commission had kept mute and awaited an application for retirement from the officers. But when the applications were not forthcoming, PSC wielded the big stick and asked them to go.

Spokesman of the commission who revealed the retirement noted that the Police Service Commission in exercise of its statutory powers, pursuant to the Third Schedule, Part 1 of the 1999 Constitution, reinforced with Section 6 of the Commissions (Establisment) Act 2001 has compulsorily retired four Deputy Inspectors General of Police.
