The Nigerian police say they will investigate the circumstances surrounding influencer King Mitchy after two live videos showed her attempting to ingest harmful substances.
The matter was raised by Muyiwa Adejobi, a former spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force, who alerted his successor, Benjamin Hundeyin, and the force’s official X account in a post containing footage of the latest incident.
The videos follow an online dispute between King Mitchy and social media activist VeryDarkMan, also known as VDM, over allegations about the authenticity of their philanthropic activities.

In one live broadcast, King Mitchy appeared to consume a substance believed to be bleach, while a subsequent video showed her ingesting what was described as sniper; her management initially announced her death but later withdrew the statement, confirming she was alive and recovering.
