PoS Operators Adjust Service Charges Amid CBN Cash Withdrawal Policy

The national president of the Association of Mobile Money and Bank Agents in Nigeria (AMMBAN), Sarafadeen Fasasi, has confirmed that the implementation of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s cash withdrawal limit policy has led Point of Sale (PoS) operators to adjust their service charges.

Fasasi explained that the policy, aimed at promoting cashless transactions, has increased operational costs for PoS operators, forcing them to review transaction fees to stay afloat.
