President Tinubu has written to the Senate asking for confirmation of new chief executives for the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission and the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority.
The request follows the resignations of Farouk Ahmed of the NMDPRA and Gbenga Komolafe of the NUPRC, who had led the agencies since 2021.
Tinubu nominated Oritsemeyiwa Amanorisewo Eyesan for the NUPRC and Saidu Aliyu Mohammed for the NMDPRA, emphasizing their industry experience.
