This latest trip follows the President’s return from a two-week official visit to Japan and Brazil in August. During that trip, he attended the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development in Yokohama and held meetings with Japanese investors.

He later travelled to Brasilia for a state visit at the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. The President had also stopped briefly in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on his way to Japan.
