President Bola Tinubu says all 38 worshippers abducted during an attack on a church in Eruku, Kwara State, have been rescued. The incident occurred on Tuesday when armed men stormed a Christ Apostolic Church branch near the Kogi border, interrupting a live-streamed service as worshippers fled amid heavy gunfire.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the president added that 51 pupils out of over 300 abducted in Niger State had also been recovered. He noted that he cancelled his trip to the G20 summit in South Africa to coordinate national security efforts, stressing that he is receiving constant updates from frontline commanders.

President Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to the safety of citizens, saying every Nigerian has the right to protection and that his administration will not relent in tackling insecurity nationwide.
