President Bola Tinubu, has extended his congratulations to Ghana’s President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, following his victory in the December 7 general election.
In a statement, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, said President Tinubu conveyed his goodwill during a telephone conversation with Mr. Mahama on Sunday.
President Tinubu expressed optimism that Mr. Mahama’s return to office would bolster stability within the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, where he, President Tinubu, serves as chairman.

The President also praised the people of Ghana for their unwavering commitment to democracy, as evidenced by the peaceful and orderly conduct of the presidential and parliamentary polls.
Highlighting the significance of the electoral process, President Tinubu commended Ghanaians for reaffirming democracy as a cornerstone for achieving political stability, economic growth, social justice, and transparent governance across Africa.
