President Bola Tinubu has left Abuja for Paris, France, ahead of next week’s African Union summit. The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the trip in a statement yesterday, saying it is for private purposes. Tinubu is en route to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he will attend the AU summit.
While in Paris, President Tinubu is expected to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron. The discussions will be part of his preparations for the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council and the 38th Ordinary Session of the AU Heads of State, set to take place from February 12th to 16th.

After his time in France, President Tinubu will travel to Addis Ababa, where he will join fellow African leaders for the important summit. He is expected to arrive early next week.
