President Tinubu Isolated from His Own Government says Baba-Ahmed

Former presidential aide Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has revealed that President Bola Tinubu is “isolated” and disconnected from many of the people working for him.

Speaking in an interview monitored by RadioNow’s news desk, Baba-Ahmed who recently resigned as Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Vice President said he only saw the President three times during his 18-month stint in office and never had a one-on-one conversation with him, as the president does not  have time for his aides.

Hakeem Baba-Ahmed explained that he resigned from the Presidency because he could not justify earning a salary without being engaged. He expressed disappointment with the administration, stating that although he joined with high hopes, he became frustrated with how the government was being run.

Baba-Ahmed also urged the president to step aside in 2027 for a younger generation of leaders. He criticised the Tinubu administration’s failure to deliver on its “Renewed Hope” agenda and questioned the competence of many cabinet members, saying more than half are unfit for office.
