President Tinubu Launches 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem, Pledges Support for Fallen Heroes

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu officially launched the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, expressing gratitude to the Armed Forces for their vital role in national defence.

To honour the sacrifices of military personnel, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, pledged N500 million to the appeal fund on behalf of the Federal Executive Council. 

Additionally, Senate President Godswill Akpabio contributed N200 million from the legislative arm, while security heads, including the Chief of Defence Staff and the Inspector-General of Police, donated N50 million on behalf of the military and police.

In his remarks, President Tinubu reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting military personnel and honoring those who have lost their lives in service to the nation. He also praised the military for their recent successes in combating national security threats.
