The Acting National Publicity Secretary of Labour Party, Mr. Obiora Ifoh, says Nigerians should brace up for more surprises and rude shocks, following President Bola Tinubu’s inauguration statement on fuel subsidy.
In a statement he issued in Abuja on Tuesday evening, Mr Ifoh says this is the first of many shocking policies to be expected.
In his inaugural speech, the President had said fuel subsidy was no longer justifiable given the high opportunity cost the Federal Government was suffering to fund it.

The Labour Party spokesman also says President Tinubu’s actions were a unilateral decision taken without consultation with other relevant stakeholders, including organised labour.
Mr Ifoh also decries what his party calls the negative effects the removal of fuel subsidy is already having on Nigerians whom they say may sooner or later be thrown into further hardship.
