The Police Service Commission has approved the appointment of Olohundare Moshood Jimoh as the new Commissioner of Police for Lagos State.
A statement by the Commission’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, says Jimoh was previously the Commissioner of Police, Ports Authority, Eastern Ports. He has also served as Force Public Relations Officer, Deputy Commissioner of Airport Police, and Deputy Commissioner in both Finance and General Investigation.

Jimoh, who hails from Kwara State, appeared before the Commission’s Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu, retired Supreme Court Justice Adamu Paul Galmuje, and DIG Taiwo Lakanu before his appointment was confirmed.
The new Lagos Commissioner is expected to assume duties immediately, taking charge of security operations in Nigeria’s commercial capital.
