Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has condemned Israel for last week’s deadly strike on Doha, describing it as an unprecedented act of aggression that undermines regional stability. Addressing an emergency Arab League and OIC summit, he said the attack, which killed six people, targeted families of Hamas leaders in the Qatari capital.
Doha, a key US ally and host of the largest American base in the region, labelled the assault “state terrorism”. Qatar insists Israel’s actions show no commitment to peace, accusing it of attempting to derail negotiations on a US-backed Gaza ceasefire.

Sheikh Tamim said the war in Gaza had become an attempt to make the territory uninhabitable, with more than 64,800 Palestinians killed. Regional leaders at the summit expressed solidarity with Qatar and denounced Israel’s actions as a threat to security across the Arab world.
