The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) says it has deployed more than 200 mini grids across Nigeria in 2025 under the Nigeria Electrification Project.
REA Managing Director Abba Aliyu said the projects were delivered to expand electricity access in rural and underserved communities. He said the mini grids support homes, schools and small businesses.
Aliyu said the agency is targeting 1,350 power projects nationwide. The programme is being implemented through partnerships with private developers.
