Relatives of the victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack have staged a demonstration at the headquarters of the Ministry of Transportation in Abuja, following the release of a new video by the bandits.

The protesters who occupied the main entrance to the ministry early today, are asking the Federal Government to take steps to secure the release of their loved ones who have been in captivity since 28th of March this year.

A spokesperson for the protesters, Ahmed Aruwa, said they would continue to block the entrance of the Ministry of Transportation until they get a definite response from the government.

The demonstration is in response to a video footage released by the terrorists showing maltreatment of the hostages, while making threat to kidnap President Muhammadu Buhari and the Kaduna State Governor Nasir El Rufai.

So far, 26 of the hostages have been released while 43 remain with their abductors.
