Remo Stars, Nigeria Professional Football League champions, have appointed Usman Abd’Allah as their new technical adviser. The Ikenne-based club announced the move on Thursday, with Abd’Allah taking up the role immediately to help improve the team’s poor run of form.
The club has won only one of 11 matches this season, sitting at the bottom of the NPFL table with 27 points from 27 games. Abd’Allah brings experience from leading the Super Eagles, Kano Pillars, and Enyimba, where he guided the team to the NPFL title in the 2018/19 season and a semi-final finish in the CAF Confederations Cup.
Remo Stars highlighted Abd’Allah’s international exposure and knowledge of Nigerian football as key to turning the club’s fortunes around. The statement added that the club looks forward to exciting moments under his leadership.

No details have been given about how this appointment will affect Daniel Ogunmodede, the current head coach, who led the club to its first NPFL title last season. It is expected that he will continue to work alongside Abd’Allah.
