Former presidential spokesman Reno Omokri has urged Nigerian artistes and actors to organise a free concert for soldiers fighting insurgents in the northeast.
Highlighting the tough conditions faced by military personnel, including extreme weather, injuries, and constant threats, Mr Omokri suggested that performances in secure locations within Borno State could lift the morale of troops risking their lives for the nation.
He also proposed a collaborative charity single by Nigerian artistes, inspired by the iconic ‘We Are The World’. This initiative, he said, could raise funds for internally displaced persons, especially orphans affected by the insurgency.

Omokri’s call emphasises the role of the entertainment industry in addressing both the emotional needs of soldiers and the humanitarian crises caused by terrorism, urging celebrities to use their influence for national impact.
