Mr Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Lagos State Labour Party’s 2023 governorship candidate, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, of what he describes as the ‘desecration’ of the Lagos State House of Assembly by armed security personnel on Monday.
Speaking in a televised interview monitored by RadioNow’s Newsdesk, Mr Rhodes-Vivour alleged that security operatives were deployed in a bid to pressure Speaker Mojisola Meranda into resigning. He condemned the move as an unacceptable act of intimidation through force and coercion.

Hours later, she was able to assume her position and preside over proceedings, during which lawmakers passed a vote of confidence in her. Overcome with emotion, she was seen wiping away tears during the session.
