A governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Emmanuel Fayose, has criticised his elder brother, former governor Ayodele Fayose, for endorsing the APC and Governor Biodun Oyebanji ahead of the 2026 election.
The elder Fayose, wearing PDP insignia at a rally in Ado Ekiti, declared support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Oyebanji, urging continuity until 2031 and 2030, respectively.

In a sharply worded statement, Emmanuel condemned the endorsement as a betrayal of the Peoples Democratic Party, accusing his brother of undermining the party that twice gave him power.
Describing the rally as a show of shame, he claimed the event drew fewer than 10,000 people and dismissed it as political theatre.
He also accused the APC of breaching INEC campaign rules and called for sanctions, insisting no political party should act with impunity.
