Rivers Angels, a prominent club in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), has unveiled Tosan Blackson as their new head coach. Blackson has been tasked with leading the Port Harcourt-based club to victory, with a clear goal of winning the title this season.
The appointment comes three years after Rivers Angels last won the NWFL title, with Delta Queens and Edo Queens claiming the championship in the subsequent years. In addition to Blackson’s appointment, the club has strengthened their squad with the acquisition of six new players: Taiwo Afolabi, Fatima Oloko, Anderline Mgbechi, Yusuf Nana, Aweda Titilayo, and Saka Sadiat.

As part of their preparations for the upcoming season, Rivers Angels also unveiled their new jerseys. The club will begin their NWFL campaign on Saturday, facing Ibom Angels at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
