Rivers Government Reveals Identity Of Suspected Port Harcourt Bomber

The Rivers State Government has revealed the identity of the suspect in the explosion that occurred in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.

The government gave his name as Josiah Preye, a university graduate who works and lives in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

The state government backed its claim with a 50-second video showing a masked man, identified as the suspect, participating in the protest walk, and a video of him in the intensive care unit of a medical facility.

In a statement, Mr. Nelson Chukwudi, the Chief Press Secretary to Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubarar, claimed Mr Preye and other people were hired by politicians at the state and federal level who are alleged supporters of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesome Wike.

He added that the protest was staged to cause anarchy and chaos in the state with the major aim of justifying calls for a state of emergency in Rivers State.
