Rivers State Governor Siminialayi Fubara has dismissed suggestions of any association with militant groups threatening the Federal Government over the state’s ongoing political turmoil.
In a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Monday, his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, said efforts to link the governor to such groups were unfounded.

Fubara also noted that communities, where explosions were reportedly heard, had refuted claims of attacks on oil facilities, describing the allegations as politically motivated and aimed at discrediting him.
The governor warned against targeting critical government infrastructure and urged criminal elements to stay away from the state.
