Rivers State Governor Installs Four New Monarchs
The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara

The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has formally presented staffs of office and certificates to four newly recognised traditional rulers, underscoring his administration’s commitment to preserving the state’s cultural heritage.  

Among those honoured is Mujahid Asari Dokubo, a former Niger Delta freedom fighter from the Kalabari ethnic group, who was installed as His Royal Highness, the Amanyanabo of Torusarama Piri in Degema Local Government Area.

The other monarchs include His Royal Majesty Winston Odize Alamina Oputibeya XII [the twelfth], the Amanyanabo of Koniju in Okrika Local Government Area; His Royal Majesty Eze Noble Friday Uwoh, a retired Chief Superintendent of Police, who now reigns as Eze Igbu-Ehuda (Ahoada) IV [the fourth] in Ahoada-East Local Government Area; and His Royal Highness Prince Ike Ehie, crowned as Eze Igbu Orilukwoe, also in Ahoada-East Local Government Area.  

Addressing the newly recognised monarchs, Governor Fubara urged them to leverage their positions to work in collaboration with the government, ensuring the safety of lives and property within their respective domains.
