Rivers United have been drawn into a challenging Group A of the 2025–26 CAF Champions League, alongside Morocco’s RS Berkane, Egypt’s Pyramids FC, and Zambia’s Power Dynamos.
The draw took place on Monday at SuperSport Studios in Johannesburg, South Africa. Rivers United reached the group stage for the first time in their history after defeating Mozambique’s Black Bulls last month, becoming the first Nigerian side to do so since 2019.
Pyramids FC, the reigning CAF Champions League holders, will look to defend their title after edging South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns 3–2 in last season’s final, while RS Berkane enter the competition as current CAF Confederation Cup champions.
