Rose Odika Warns Against Staying in Toxic Marriages

Veteran Nollywood actress Rose Odika has urged women not to remain in toxic marriages, saying such unions can be damaging to both personal wellbeing and professional growth. She shared her experience during an interview on a podcast, where she reflected on her marriage and its eventual collapse.

Odika revealed that her union faced struggles from the outset, particularly with childbearing. She said she endured five years without pregnancy, while also contending with her husband’s lack of support for her acting career. These pressures, she explained, strained the marriage beyond repair.

Although she eventually gave birth to a child, Odika noted the joy was short-lived. The marriage ended when her baby was barely 14 months old, underscoring her call to walk away from toxic relationships.
