Samsung Electronics has announced the death of its co-CEO, Han Jong-Hee, at the age of 63 following a cardiac arrest.
A veteran of 37 years at the company, Han was instrumental in establishing Samsung’s dominance in the global TV market. Appointed vice chairman and CEO in 2022, he led the electronics and mobile divisions. His co-CEO, Jun Young-Hyun, recently appointed, now assumes sole leadership.

Samsung hailed Han’s contributions, particularly in pioneering LED TV technology, and extended condolences to his family. His passing marks the loss of a key figure in the company’s technological evolution.
