Twenty-four schoolgirls abducted from Government Girls Secondary School in Maga, Kebbi State, have been rescued, security sources confirmed on Tuesday.
The students were initially seized on November 17 when bandits attacked the school, killing one official and injuring a security guard. Two girls escaped independently during the abduction, fleeing across farmland. Following the attack, police, military, and vigilante groups were deployed to track the kidnappers, with Operation FANSAN YANMA leading coordinated search efforts in surrounding forests.
